KAOLIN

Kaolin (Kaolinite) is a clay mineral with the chemical composition Al2Si2O5(OH)4. It is a layered silicate mineral, with one tetrahedral sheet linked through oxygen atoms to one octahedral sheet of alumina octahedra.[3] Rocks that are rich in kaolinite are known as china clay or kaolin.  more

CALCINED KAOLIN

Calcined Kaolin is one of the most important functional pigment extender based on natural industrial mineral. Calcined Kaolin is washed and scrubbed form of anhydrous kaolin, which is processed under high temperature (around 1.050,- °C) and pressurized calcination reactors (kiln).  more

TALC

Talc is a mineral composed of hydrated magnesium silicate with the chemical Mg3Si4O10(OH)2. In loose form, it is the widely used substance known as talcum powder. It occurs as foliated to fibrous masses, its monoclinic crystals being so rare as to be almost unknown. It has a perfect basal cleavage, and the folia are non-elastic, although slightly flexible. It is sectile and very soft, with a hardness of 1 (Talc is the softest of the Mohs' scale of mineral hardness, and can be easily scratched by a fingernail). more

CALCIUM CARBONATE

Mikron'S Calcium Carbonate grades are branded as TURKCARB® in general, and they enable manufactures to produce high quality products in many applications. Calcite (CaCO3) found in nature in marble, limestone and chalk forms with different crystal shapes.Depending on the amount of impurities, whiteness parameters may fluctuate. Deviation of Silicate (SiO2 ) contents will also effect hardness values of the material.  more

DOLOMITE

Dolomite is a double carbonate of calcium and magnesium, and it's formula generally written as CaMg(CO3)2. Pure and white dolomite with minimum calcium magnesium carbonate content of 99 % is mined in rich deposits in Turkey, where the name "marble" took it's original name during history. Turkish Dolomite is one of purest and whitest dolomites in the world.  more

MICA

Mica is used as a pigment extender that also facilitates suspension, reduces chalking and mud cracking, prevents shrinking and shearing of the paint film, increases resistance of the paint film to water penetration and weathering, and brightens the tone of coloured pigments.  more

MICACEOUS IRON OXIDE

Micaceous iron oxide is a crystalline form of iron oxide (Fe2O3) that differs from the more familiar red, yellow, and brown forms of iron oxide pigments. Its crystals can be fractured into thin flakes, giving it a physical form similar to mica.  more

MUSCOVITE & PHLOGOPITE MICA

Muscovite Mica is a phyllosilicate mineral of aluminium and potassium with formula KAl2(AlSi3O10)(F,OH)2, or (KF)2(Al2O3)3(SiO2)6(H2O). It has a highly-perfect basal cleavage yielding remarkably-thin lamellar (sheets) which are often highly elastic. Sheets of muscovite 5 metres by 3 metres have been found in Nellore, India.[5]  more
